  Worst retail customer service I have experience in as long as I can recall.
  
  My wife won the women's half-marathon in Vail and won a free pair of shoes from this store. First off, I think that it's great for a local company to give prizes like that. However, this doesn't justify blatantly rude customer service.
  
  We went in and the store was very clean and had a great selection. Unfortunately, that's where our good experience ended. As soon as my wife went up to the counter and said "I really like these, can I get a pair in 7s please?" the man (who if I recall was also the owner) looked at her like she was stupid and said some snotty remark about obviously not having every size in stock and we would have to come back after he ordered them. Well it just so happens we live in Colorado Springs and driving 6 hours round-trip to pickup a pair of shoes isn't exactly convenient, so we asked if he could have them delivered to our home. He asked why we can't just come back after they arrived, and it was pretty amazing to me that I had to explain a second time about the six hour drive thing. He finally agreed, and took down our address as though it was a huge inconvenience, informing us we would have to pay the shipping fees.
  
  Go figure, a month goes by and nothing. Then two, then three. My wife called countless times, leaving messages for the owner to call her back but none were ever returned. Finally somewhere in that third month the shoes finally arrived. Here's some advice, don't offer up free shoes if it is going to upset you when you have to honor the prize.
